Best of Luck to Four BlueClaws Traded on Tuesday

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Four BlueClaws were traded by the Phillies on Tuesday, with Ramon Marquez and Marty Gair headed to the Giants and Luke Gabrysh and John Spikerman headed to the Mets.

The Phillies acquired Luis Arraez and Caleb Kilian from the Giants and Brooks Raley from the Mets.

Marquez, the Phillies #4 prospect per MLB Pipeline, joined the BlueClaws in June and had a 1.50 ERA over six starts with 46 strikeouts and nine walks in 30 innings. He was a two time South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week.

Gair just arrived from Clearwater last week. He made two appearances with the BlueClaws, throwing three scoreless innings with eight strikeouts.

Gabrysh, a St. Joseph's University product, had 89 strikeouts in 68.1 innings with the BlueClaws, pitching to a 5.14 ERA.

Spikerman was hitting .260 with 18 stolen bases across 30 games this year. He was a 3rd round pick from Oklahoma in 2014.

The BlueClaws with all four players the best with their new organizations.

Jersey Shore has had players traded directly off the BlueClaws roster at the deadline each of the last six seasons.
