Biggio's First Career 2-HR Game Leads NH

Manchester, NH - Cavan Biggio's first career two-homer game led the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) to a 14-3 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) on Wednesday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Following a convincing 11-5 victory in the series opener on Tuesday, the Fisher Cats matched a season high with 14 runs and 17 hits, while setting a new season high with seven doubles in Wednesday's blowout. 
After Jon Harris (W, 9-4) dealt a five-pitch first inning, New Hampshire sent 11 men to the plate and scored seven times in the bottom half. It was the 'Cats second seven-run inning of the series.
Andrew Guillotte and Bo Bichette hit back-to-back doubles to start the scoring, while Forrest Wall and Eduard Pinto added RBI singles to extend the lead to 3-0. Ryan Hissey and Andrew Guillotte capped the rally with consecutive two-run doubles to make it 7-0. 
Cavan Biggio led off the second inning with a solo homer, and gave the Fisher Cats a 10-0 cushion with a two-run blast in the fourth. His 23 home runs are now tied for most in the Eastern League with Bobby Bradley of the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians).
New Hampshire added four in the fifth inning with Biggio's two-run double, plus a sacrifice fly and a run-scoring error. Biggio finished the day 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and a career-high five RBIs.
Harris finished after seven innings, allowing three runs (all in the sixth) on three hits with three walks and six strikeouts. Kirby Snead and Andrew Case each put together a scoreless inning out of the bullpen to seal the win.
Bichette, Biggio, Guillotte and Wall all recorded three hits, while Hissey and Santiago Espinal each added a pair.

The series concludes on Thirsty Thursday at 7:05 p.m., with RHP Jordan Romano (10-4, 3.40 ERA) scheduled to face LHP Conner Menez (3-3, 3.57 ERA) at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
