Biloxi, Pensacola GMs wage friendly competition to close first half

BILOXI, MS, - The Biloxi Shuckers and Pensacola Blue Wahoos have made a deal that would send delicious seafood to either front office. The deal all depends on clinching the Southern League South Division first half.
With just nine games left in the first half, the Shuckers trail Pensacola by three games in the South Division standings. If the Shuckers can come back from the deficit and win the division, Pensacola has agreed to send Biloxi ten pounds of wahoo. If the Blue Wahoos hang on and win the division, the Shuckers have agreed to send a bushel of oysters to Pensacola. If neither team wins the division, the deal would become void.
"We are so confident in the Shuckers that we have spotted Pensacola a three-game lead in this challenge, "said Arnold. "The Blue Wahoos like to brag about how fierce a wahoo is, but they must not be too fierce as the only time I've seen one has been on my dinner plate."
"As everyone knows, there is nothing better than sitting back and enjoying some oysters on Pensacola Beach," said Griffith. "Our front office looks forward to enjoying this gift soon."
The deal was agreed upon between Shuckers GM Chuck Arnold and Blue Wahoos President Jonathan Griffith. The deal is all in good fun, but it will make the competition even more important. The agreement will be completed upon clinching the division.
