LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws pounded a season-high 10 runs on a season-high 14 hits while
Lakewood (9-18) snapped a three-game losing streak and avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Power (17-8).
The BlueClaws got a pair of first inning runs on groundouts by Abrahan Gutierrez and Malvin Matos to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
Lakewood added five more runs in the fifth inning including runs on an RBI double from Malvin Matos and an RBI single from Guzman. In the sixth, Matos hit an RBI triple as part of a two-run inning.
Meanwhile, West Virginia couldn't solve McKay, who struck out four over five scoreless frames to earn his first win of the season.
The BlueClaws earned their first shutout of the season in the win.
