Bodine Brings Home Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove Award

Bowling Green, Kentucky – The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Minor League Baseball, and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc., have announced that catcher Caden Bodine is the recipient of the 2026 Rawlings Gold Glove Award®.

This award is given to players selected for their defensive excellence. Each player will receive his own Rawlings Gold Glove Award, modeled after the iconic award given to Major League Baseball’s top defensive players, during the 2027 season.

Bodine is the first Hot Rods player to receive the award. Currently ranked as the Tampa Bay Rays No. 3 prospect, Bodine experienced a meteoric rise through the system in 2026. He earned three different promotions throughout the season, spending time with Single-A Charleston, High-A Bowling Green, Double-A Montgomery, and Triple-A Durham due to his work both at the plate and behind it. Defensively, he caught 81 games across four levels. Bodine caught 30 of 130 runners trying to swipe a base while posting a .988 fielding percentage.

In Bowling Green in 2026, Bodine caught 147.1 innings, posting a 1.000 fielding percentage, catching four runners on 26 attempts. He played a total of 32 games, 17 at catcher, with the Hot Rods, spending time in Bowling Green from May 19 to June 30.
