GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Burlington Bees scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to break a 4-4 tie with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Sunday afternoon at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium and go on to a 7-4 win.

Jahmai Jones gave the Bees (39-48 overall, 8-10 second half) a lead on the third pitch of the game from starting pitcher Drake Owenby when he launched a leadoff home run in the first inning. Jones has six homers this season and three have been against Wisconsin pitchers.

The Rattlers (33-53, 7-11) tied the game in the bottom of the third. Carlos Belonis doubled with one out. Mario Feliciano drove Belonis home from second with a two-out single to left.

Burlington went back in front in the top of the fifth inning on a home run by Artemis Kadkhodaian off Carlos Herrera.

Julian Leon added a run for the Bees with another solo homer. This one came with one out in the top of the sixth inning and the Bees were up 3-1.

Burlington tacked on one more run in the seventh inning on an RBI single by Jordan Zimmerman, who extended his hitting streak to 15 games.

As they did on Saturday night, the Rattlers rallied from a 4-1 deficit with three runs in the bottom of the seventh against reliever Kyle Halbohn. Trever Morrison started the rally with a double. Joantgel Segovia followed with a single to right to move his hitting streak to eleven games and score Morrison. Carlos Belonis was next and he singled for his third hit of the game. Weston Wilson followed with a double off the wall in left to score Segovia and the Rattlers were within a run with runners at second and third with no outs.

Halbohn got the first out on a grounder that held the runners at their stations. However, a wild pitch allowed Belonis to score the tying run and Wilson to move to third with the go-ahead run with one out. But, Halbohn got out of the inning on a strikeout and a fly out.

The Bees went back in front against reliever Andrew Vernon in the top of the eighth inning. The first three batters to face Vernon reached on singles. Kadkhodaian cashed in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly to center and. Vernon walked the next batter to reload the bases. Jones and Zimmerman followed with consecutive RBI singles and the Bees were up 7-4.

The Timber Rattlers were all out of comebacks. They were retired in order in the eighth by Halbohn and in the ninth by Blake Smith.
