Burlington Royals Announce 2019 Promotional Schedule

BURLINGTON, N.C. (May 22, 2019) - The Burlington Royals are set to begin their 2019 season on June 24th, marking their 34th consecutive year of Appalachian League baseball in Burlington and 13th as a member of the Kansas City Royals organization.

This season's promotional schedule brings back fan-favorite season long promotions like Dollar Monday Madness,Times-News Family Sundays, and Thirsty Thursdays. New for 2019, Two-for-Tuesdays will feature 2 general admission tickets for the price of 1 as well as a 2 for 1 concession item of the night. Thanks to the Alamance County Visitors Bureau, all active duty and retired military personnel get a free ticket with a military ID to every Royals home game. In addition to daily promotions, the B-Royals feature unique giveaways and theme nights throughout the 2019 campaign.
The calendar has thirty-four nights of entertainment for all ages, including five t-shirt giveaways, two specialty jerseys, five fireworks shows, and endless amounts of fun. From Monday through Sunday, you are guaranteed to have a great time at Burlington Athletic Stadium at an affordable price.

Weekly Promotions


FANomenal Fireworks Shows: The Royals will again light up the sky on select Saturday Nights during the summer as well as the Independence Day Celebration on July 4th and Opening Day June 24th. This season will feature fireworks on June 24th, July 4th, July 13th, August 10th, and August 17th.
Times-News Family Sundays: Be on the lookout for $2 ticket coupons in your Sunday edition of The Times-News. Kids run the bases just like the professionals following every Sunday home game!  
Dollar Monday Madness: The best value in town returns - $1 general admission tickets, hot dogs, soda, water, peanuts, candy and chips. All for just a buck each on all Monday home games.
Thirsty Thursdays:The Royals will continue to be the biggest bar in town on Thursday nights. With over 12 beers on draft, enjoy a draft beer for only $1 every Thursday at the ballpark.
Two-for-Tuesdays: Two general admission tickets for the price of one, plus a two-for-one concession item of the night!

Opening Night/T-Shirt Giveaway/Fireworks/Dollar Monday! - June 24


Burlington baseball is back and the stadium looks completely different. Come see for yourself the brand new team merchandise store, ticket office, bathrooms, family restroom, and concourse expansion that were all constructed during the off-season! Opening Night is a Dollar Monday, featuring $1 tickets, hot dogs, peanuts, chips, soda, water, and candy. Arrive early to be one of the first 500 fans to receive a t-shirt! Stay for the whole game to watch a dazzling display of fireworks following the conclusion of the last inning.

Independence Day Celebration - July 4


Burlington Athletic Stadium is the place to be this 4th of July! Celebrate our nation's freedom with bounce houses, a B-Royals game, and fireworks! Gates will open at 5:30 P.M. and game time is at 6:30 P.M. This July 4th is a Thirsty Thursday, and the Royals will be serving $1 draft beer. Stay after the game for the ONLY fireworks show in Burlington!

Youth Baseball/Softball Clinic - July 14


All kids 12 & under are invited to learn from the professionals for FREE! Burlington Royals players and coaches will be providing a clinic for all baseball and softball players around the area. There will be instruction on hitting, pitching, and position playing. The Youth Baseball/Softball Clinic is presented by Dick's Sporting Goods and Sheetz.

Military Appreciation Night/T-Shirt Giveaway/Thirsty Thursday - July 18


As a THANK YOU for your service, the Burlington Royals are offering all active-duty and retired military personnel 4 free tickets to Military Appreciation Night! Game time is at 6:30pm with gates opening at 5:30pm. $1 draft beers will be on sale for Thirsty Thursday. The first 300 fans through the gates get a free t-shirt!

Hometown Heroes Night/Star Wars Night/Thirsty Thursday - August 8


The Royals will recognize all of Alamance County's Hometown Heroes and honor local fire, police, and EMS departments with the ceremonial first pitch. Different department vehicles will be available for walk-throughs and pictures. The galaxy needs saving and the Royals are ready to defeat the dark forces once again. Players will don specialty jerseys and you can join in on the fun by dressing up as your favorite Star Wars characters!

Reader Appreciation Night - August 9


The Royals have teamed up with Sylvan Learning Center of Burlington, Rotary Club of Alamance, Buffaloe Lanes, Painted Grape, Sir Speedy Printing, and Chick-fil-A to encourage kids around the community to read over the summer. All elementary-aged children are invited to read over 360 minutes to earn great prizes. To pick up a form, please visit Burlington Athletic Stadium or Sylvan Learning Center of Burlington.

1K OT Sports Walk for Autism - August 24


Help support the Autism Society of North Carolina by registering for our first Walk for Autism and 7th year supporting the ASNC! Registrants will receive a free pair of socks courtesy of OT Sports and a ticket to the Burlington Royals game that night. All proceeds to benefit the Autism Society of NC. The walk will take place before the game. Stay for the game and kick back while watching the Royals play the Pulaski Yankees.

Wednesday, July 24 - 11am start time: It's our annual Day Game! Bring your friends, kids, or coworkers out for some lunch and a great afternoon at the ballpark! Summer camps, daycares, and kids clubs are all invited for a fun outing with friends.
