Caliente: Caen ante Chihuahua en el Volcán de Villa
Durango, Dgo. (Prensa Caliente) 8 de julio de 2024.- El grito de emoción de los asistentes al Estadio Francisco Villa se ahogó en sus gargantas al ver que el tablazo de Manuel Boscán no superaría la barda del jardín central y, con ello, decretarse la victoria de Chihuahua por 7-5
Durango, Dgo. (Prensa Caliente) 8 de julio de 2024.- El grito de emoción de los asistentes al Estadio Francisco Villa se ahogó en sus gargantas al ver que el tablazo de Manuel Boscán no superaría la barda del jardín central y, con ello, decretarse la victoria de Chihuahua por 7-5 en la parte baja de la novena.
El equipo dirigido por Mike Rojas dejó la piel sobre el terreno de juego, ya que el turno de Boscán, pasó de un 0 bolas y 2 strikes a cuenta llena, gracias a que el venezolano defendió su cuenta con gallardía, porque sabía que sobre la primera colchoneta lo esperaba JJ Matijevic en espera de ser remolcado.
En general, la tónica de todo el encuentro por parte de la novena rojinegra fue remar contracorriente para remontar el marcador que Dorados dominó desde la quinta.
El abridor de Caliente, Gregori Vásquez, trabajó por espacio de 4 entradas, le conectaron 7 imparables (entre ellos el jonrón solitario de Kristian Delgado), le anotaron 5 carreras, ponchó a 2 y dio una base por bolas, mientras que, su contraparte, Elih Villanueva, lanzó 5 innings, permitió 6 hits, le timbraron 4 veces la registradora, ponchó a 4 y otorgó 4 pasaportes.
El primer ataque lo organizó la artillería duranguense, cuando Luis Avilés Jr., anotó el 1-0 impulsado por un sencillo productor de José Manuel Orozco en la parte baja del primer capítulo.
Chihuahua respondió con cuadrangular solitario de Kristian Delgado por todo el jardín izquierdo y con la anotación de Jesús Manuel Martínez, quien fue impulsado al plato por un fuerte roletazo productor de Carlos Herrera, colocándose el marcador 2-1, ya en favor de los visitantes en la parte alta del tercer episodio.
Para la cuarta entrada, Dorados incrementó su ventaja a 3-1 cuando Juan Carlos Negret fue impulsado al pentágono por sencillo de Sergio Burrel.
Caliente empató el marcador 3-3 en la parte baja del cuarto episodio mediante un doblete productor de Lázaro Alonso, quien remolcó al home a José Manuel Orozco y luego mediante un elevado de sacrificio de Carlos Mendívil, quien le permitió a James Nelson hacer el pisa y corre.
Chihuahua contraatacó en la parte alta de la quinta entrada con un doble de Juan Carlos Negret, quien trajo a la registradora a sus compañeros Leobaldo Piña y Herrera, para después, anotar la sexta rayita en los spikes de Seuly Matías para poner las cosas 6-3.
Durango comenzó a remar con valentía contra la corriente y anotaron su cuarta carrera en la quinta baja cuando Boscán impulsó a Travis para poner las cosas 6-4.
Todavía Chihuahua vino con una rayita más en la alta de la novena anotando en un desconcierto que hubo dentro del cuadro de Caliente y que puso las cosas 7-4.
