The Albuquerque Isotopes defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 11-8 Thursday afternoon at Rio Grande Credit Union Field. The Chihuahuas had come back from a 6-1 deficit to take a 7-6 lead, but the Isotopes scored five runs in their final three innings to overtake the Chihuahuas. Albuquerque has won two of the first three games in the series.

Chihuahuas catcher Luis Campusano went 3-for-4 with two home runs, two RBIs and a walk. It was Campusano’s first multi-homer game since August 7, 2023 while with San Diego and it was the Chihuahuas’ first multi-homer game since Oscar Gonzalez on April 2, 2025 at Oklahoma City. Campusano has hit four home runs in his last six games and has reached base six times in the last two games in Albuquerque.

El Paso shortstop Mason McCoy also went 3-for-4 with a home run Thursday and he’s 6-for-7 with five RBIs over the last two games. Chihuahuas left fielder Tirso Ornelas had a season high four hits in the loss.
