NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ar. -- Four Cardinals relievers combined to lead Springfield (19-30) to the 1-0 shutout win against the Arkansas Travelers (31-16) at Dickey-Stephens Park on Saturday evening.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
-The Cardinals scored the game's only run in the top of the fourth inning when LF Dylan Carlson raced home from third base on a wild pitch.

-RHP Roel Ramirez made the spot start for Springfield and escaped his lone jam with back-to-back strikeouts to strand two runners in a scoreless second inning.

-RHP Merandy Gonzalez slammed the door with a game-ending strikeout of 3B Logan Taylor, stranding the potential game-tying run at third base and closing the 1-0 win for Springfield.

NOTABLES:
-LHP Jacob Patterson (3.1 IP), RHP Ronnie Williams (2.0 IP) and RHP Merandy Gonzalez (1.0 IP) followed Ramirez with scoreless relief work. They combined to retire 14 consecutive Travelers from the fourth inning into the ninth inning.

-LF Dylan Carlson went 3x4 with three singles, collecting all of Springfield's hits in the game and scoring the lone run.

-Arkansas RHP Nabil Crismatt went 7.0 innings with just one run on two hits in the loss.
