Celesten Earns MVP, Five AquaSox Named Northwest League All-Stars

September 16, 2026 — EVERETT, Wash.: Minor League Baseball announced its 2026 season award winners today for High-A and five Everett AquaSox players received recognition for their performances.

AquaSox infielder Felnin Celesten received top recognition, earning 2026 Northwest League Most Valuable Player honors coming off a season in which he hit .314 with 21 doubles, 13 home runs, and 52 RBIs across 80 games played with Everett.

“It’s really cool to see that [recognition] for a guy like Felnin who was putting in the work every single day,” AquaSox Manager Ryan Scott said. “He stuck to his process every day and never let the moments get too big for him. He went out there, was himself every single day, played really hard, and had a lot of fun. It’s really cool to see the numbers show that and to see him get honored with the MVP award at the end of the year.”

Among qualified players, Celesten’s batting average, on-base percentage (.409), and OPS (.943) each ranked first in the Northwest League. Additionally, Celesten was named Northwest League Player of the Week both April 26 and May 3. His efforts throughout the year ultimately earned him a promotion, jumping up to the Double-A Arkansas Travelers on July 20.

Earning Northwest League All-Star accolades were Celesten (Shortstop), Brandon Eike (First Base), Josh Caron (Catcher), Carlos Jimenez (Outfield), and Luke Stevenson (Designated Hitter).

“We’re always proud of winning organizational awards and all of the credit goes to these guys and what they were able to do day in and day out,” Scott said. “Seeing for 132 games that these guys were able to go out and be the best ones at their position in the entire league — and to have five of those guys — is always something special.”

Eike, a 24-year-old from Powhatan, Virginia, recently wrapped up his second season with the AquaSox. Drafted in the 13th round (No. 393 overall) during the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Eike had a breakout campaign in the Pacific Northwest, hitting .295 to go along with a league-leading 129 hits, 29 doubles, 24 home runs, and .535 slugging percentage. Eike also totaled 79 RBIs, earning Northwest League Player of the Month honors for his efforts in August along the way.

Caron, a 23-year-old from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, joined Everett for his second stint to begin the season. Originally selected by the Mariners in the fourth round (No. 121 overall) in the 2024 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Caron hit .272 across 66 games with the AquaSox, smashing 19 home runs and 17 doubles while collecting 62 RBIs. Caron — like Celesten — was also promoted to Double-A as a result of his strong performance, joining the Travelers on July 20. He also received a nod as Northwest League Player of the Week on May 31.

Jimenez, a 23-year-old from Los Alcarrizos, Dominican Republic, starred for the AquaSox in 2026. Playing in High-A baseball for the first time since being signed from international free agency July 2, 2019, Jimenez excelled by collecting 110 base hits, 24 doubles, five triples, 20 home runs, and 79 RBIs across 102 games played. Jimenez also served as a speed threat on the bases, stealing 20 bags throughout the season.

Stevenson, a 22-year-old from Flemington, New Jersey, displayed both incredible power and on-base skills during his first professional season. Drafted by the Mariners as a Competitive Balance Round A selection (No. 35 overall) in the 2025 MLB First-Year Player Draft, Stevenson belted 22 home runs for the AquaSox, tallying a Northwest League best 83 RBIs to go with. He also walked a league-high 98 times — 23 more than the next-closest player — and held an on-base percentage of .405. Additionally, Stevenson earned Northwest League Player of the Month honors for July 2026.

The AquaSox return to action for Opening Day at Everett Memorial Stadium on April 2, 2027, against the Spokane Indians. First pitch of the game is to be determined at a later time.
