The Columbus Clippers fell 3-2 in 10 innings Sunday afternoon against the Louisville Bats, missing their chance to win a series for the first time in 2024. It was the third time in the past five games the two teams needed extra innings to settle matters.

The Clippers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning, when Myles Straw tripled home a run and then scored on a single by Daniel Schneemann. Unfortunately, Columbus managed just two hits the rest of the way.

After Louisville tied things up in the 5th, the two teams played scoreless baseball until the 10th frame. In his third inning of relief, a wild pitch by Randy Labaut (1-2) allowed automatic runner Blake Dunn to come home with the winning run.

Columbus returns home on April 16 to begin a six-game series against Buffalo with Tansky Tuesday Dime-A-Dog Night. Tickets are available at ClippersBaseball.com.
