North Little Rock, AR—Joe Rizzo delivered a clutch two-run double and the Arkansas Travelers held down the league’s top offense in a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. Tyler Driver, making a spot start after joining the club up from High-A Everett earlier in the day, threw six innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts and went on to earn the win. Collin Kober, Nate Fisher and Dayeison Arias (Save) each pitched a scoreless inning to close out the victory.

Moments That Mattered

* Rizzo came through with two on and two out in the sixth with a line drive double to left field off Wichita starter Jordan Balazovic to put the Travs on top and plate their only runs on the game.

* Wichita got a leadoff single in the eighth inning but Nate Fisher responded by striking out the 3, 4 and 5 hitters in the Wind Surge lineup to keep the Travs on top.

* Julio Rodriguez had two singles on the afternoon extending his hitting streak to eight and his on-base streak to 18.

* The win, coupled with Frisco’s loss, moves the third place Travelers to within three games of league leading Wichita and one game of second place Frisco. The top two teams in the league qualify for the Championship Series.
