Cole Under Pressure

Williamsport, P.A.- Cole Stobbe's lead off home run in the bottom of the 10^th inning gave the Williamsport Crosscutters the walk-off 6-5 win and the sweep of the Lowell Spinners.

Will Stewart got the start for the Williamsport Crosscutters and pitched well through his first three innings of work, allowing just a pair of hits and a walk, while not allowing a run to score.
Juan Barriento got to Stewart in the top of the 4^th inning, sending a full count offering over the wall, just inside the foul pole, for a solo home run. The blast was the 3^rd of the year for Barriento, giving the Spinners a 1-0 lead.
After a clean 5^th inning by Stewart, the Spinners got to the Cutters southpaw again in the top of the 6^th inning, getting back-toback one-out singles from Brett Netzer and Juan Barriento to chase Stewart from the game.
Zach Warren entered for Stewart with two runners on, and proceeded to walk Garrett Benge to load the bases and then walk Raiwinson Lameda to score Netzer, extending the Spinners lead to 2-0.
Tanner Nishioka followed with a single to plate Barriento, giving Lowell a 3-0 advantage and capping the scoring in the frame.
Austin Listi got the Crosscutters on the board in the bottom of the 6^th inning against the Lowell bullpen, rifling a single through the left side of the infield against Devon Fisher to score Greg Pickett and cut the deficit to 3-1. The run was charged to Spinners starter Dakota Smith.
Lowell got the run back in the top of the 7^th inning, as Brett Netzer singled home Nick Hamilton to make it 4-1 in favor of the Red Sox affiliate.
The Crosscutters offense came to life in the bottom of the 7^th inning, seeing their first three batters reach as Nick Maton singled, Jake Scheiner reached on an error and Adam Haseley drawing a walk.
Colby Fitch grounded into a fielder's choice that retired Haseley at 2^nd base, but allowed Maton to score and cut the deficit to 4-2, giving Fitch his 3^rd RBI of the season and giving the Cutters runners on the corners with two outs.
Cole Stobbe follwed with a single through the box into center, scoring Scheiner from 3^rd base and bring the Cutters within one at 4-3. For Stobbe, it was his 2^nd hit of the night and gave him his 14^th RBI of the season.
Josh Stephen, last night's hero, drove an offering out to right-center that skipped passed right field Juan Barriento to the warning track, scoring both Fitch and Stobbe as Stephen strolled into 3^rd with a two-run, two-out triple to give the Cutters a 5-4 lead.
For Stephen, it was his team-leading third triple of the season and gave him his 11^th and 12^th RBI of the season.
Luis Ramirez worked a clean 8^th inning of relief, and retired the first two batters of the 9^th, but the Sinners strung together three-straight, two-out singles, tying the game on a Barriento RBI single to tie the game at 5-5. Ramirez got out of the inning without allowing another run.
The Cutters went down in order in the bottom of the 9^th inning, and then sent reliever Kyle Dohy to the mound in the top of the 10^th. Dohy faced three batters, retiring all three, picking up a strike out along the way.
Cole Stobbe led off the bottom of the 10^th inning, facing Juan Florentino, who had retired the Cutters in order in the previous two innings.
Stobbe fell behind Florentino, no balls and two strikes, before launching an offering into the Spinners bullpen to give the Cutters their second walk-off win in as many nights, by a 6-5 final score.
The home run was the 6^th of the season for Stobbe, which currently leads the New York-Penn League, it gave Stobbe is 15^th RBI and also capped the first three-hit game for the 3^rd basemen this season.
The Crosscutters start a three-game series with the State College Spikes tomorrow evening, with the first two games of the series being at BB&t Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Cutter Carvings - It was the first multi-hit game for Stobbe since collecting two hits against Batavia on June 30^th... Stobbe's last home run came on July 9^th vs Mahoning Valley... The win gives the Crosscutters their first series sweep of Lowell since the 2010 season... The Crosscutters are now 3-2 in extra inning games and 10-5 at home this season...
