MANCHESTER, N.H.Zac Cook drove in a career-high four runs, including his eighth home run, but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, fell 8-7 to the Altoona Curve Friday night at Delta Dental Stadium.

Down 2-0, Cook hit a three-run homer to give the Fisher Cats (30-37) a lead in the bottom of the second inning. Catcher Ryan Gold also homered in that inning to make it 4-2.

The Fisher Cats took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the third, putting together back-to-back doubles by Spencer Horwitz and Will Robertson. Cook’s sacrifice fly produced the other run.

The Curve reclaimed the lead with a three-run seventh inning. Brendt Citta singled in a run, Connor Scott doubled, and a third run scored on a passed ball to make it 8-6.

New Hampshire cut Altoona’s lead to 8-7 in the bottom of the eighth. Cook doubled and scored on a Cam Eden single, but the Fisher Cats could not tie the score.

Tahnaj Thomas (3-4) earned the win with two scoreless innings in relief with Tyler Samaniego earning his fourth save. Cre Finfrock (0-1) took the loss for New Hampshire.

The Fisher Cats and Curve meet again Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Delta Dental Stadium with an Atlas Fireworks show following the game.
