CURVE, PA – The Altoona Curve are pleased to announce their 2023 schedule of games to be played in the 25th season of Curve Baseball.

The 138-game slate is the same length as the 2022 season and will feature nine home games in April, 14 home games in May, ten home games in June, 12 home games in July, 18 home games in August and six home games in September. The schedule format of six-game series’ returns for a third season of play.

Opening Day at PNG Field is slated for Thursday, April 6 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) to begin a three-game series.

The home schedule will feature visits from nine of the 12 teams in the Eastern League including all five teams from the Southwest Division and four from the Northeast Division; New Hampshire (Toronto Blue Jays, April 6-8), Hartford (Colorado Rockies, May 23-28), Binghamton (New York Mets, May 30-June 4), and Reading (Philadelphia Phillies, July 18-23).

The month of May features the first two-week homestand of the season with a visit from a pair of Eastern Division opponents that last visited Altoona in 2021, Hartford and Binghamton, from May 23 – June 4. Altoona’s schedule brings them on a two-week road trip following the homestand to Richmond and Somerset before returning home for a week-long series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) from June 20-25.

After a pair of scheduled off-days to fit the July 4 holiday, Altoona plays six games at Harrisburg (Washington Nationals) and will return home to host the Erie SeaWolves on Tuesday, July 4 at PNG Field. The six-game series will carry into a scheduled four-day All-Star Break beginning on Monday, July 10 and stretching to Thursday, July 13. Altoona will play a three-game series at New Hampshire before returning home for a six-game series with the Reading Fightin Phils from July 18-23.

The month of August will feature 18 home games and just nine road games during the calendar month. A two-week homestand highlighted by visits from the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) and Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) covers the first 13 days of the month for Altoona before a road trip to Bowie. The Curve wrap up the month at home by hosting the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Guardians) from August 22-27.

Altoona spends the majority of their month of September on the road, beginning with a six-game series at Erie and ending with six-game series at Akron. The Curve play their final home games of the 2023 regular season from September 5-10 during a six-game set with the Harrisburg Senators.

Altoona returns to Peoples Natural Gas Field on Tuesday, August 30 to begin a six-game series with the Akron RubberDucks. The week at PNG Field features a post-game fireworks show on Saturday, a special pre-game ceremony honoring Hollidaysburg Little League’s appearance in the Little League World Series on Wednesday and an Al Tuna Cup Giveaway, presented by Stuckey Automotive on Sunday.
