Cyclones Lead Early, Late in 10-3 Win on Friday

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Alex Ramirez had four hits and drove in five runs as Brooklyn rolled to a 10-3 win over the BlueClaws on Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd at ShoreTown Ballpark.

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Alex Ramirez had four hits and drove in five runs as Brooklyn rolled to a 10-3 win over the BlueClaws on Friday night in front of a sold-out crowd at ShoreTown Ballpark.

The BlueClaws welcomed in a season-high crowd of 8,706 on Friday, including their 8-millionth fan, Kristen Palmer of Holmdel. Ramirez, however, was quick to spoil the party, hitting a three-run home run in the first inning off Rafafel Mracano.

Rixon Wingrove opened the BlueClaws scoring with a solo home run, his eighth of the year, in the bottom of the second. After Brooklyn added two more in the third, the BlueClaws got home runs from both Freddy Francisco in the third and Ethan Wilson in the fourth.

BlueClaws starter Rafael Marcano allowed five runs over three innings, on four hits and three walks to go along with four strikeouts.

The Cyclones extended the lead with single runs in the fifth and sixth, on a Ramirez RBI double, off Kyle Glogoski and one in the seventh, on a JT Schwartz RBI single in the seventh, off Andrew Schultz.

Ramirez finished 4-5 with a home run and five RBIs in the win while Matt Rudick and JT Schwartz each had two hits in the Cyclones win.

JP Woodward retired all four batters he faced for Jersey Shore.

The teams continue their series on Saturday. RHP Andrew Painter starts for Jrsey Shore.
