BlueClaws 1B Darick Hall has been named South Atlantic League Player of the Week for the week ending August 13th.
Hall went 10-24 with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs last week for the BlueClaws. The left-handed hitting slugger from Hereford, Arizona leads the South Atlantic League in both home runs with 24 and RBIs with 83.
Hall hit his 24th home run of the season on Sunday at Delmarva, tying him with Jose Pujols (2016) for the BlueClaws single-season franchise record. Hall is one of just four BlueClaws to hit 20 home runs in a season, joining Pujols, Jim Murphy (22 in 2011) and Juan Richardson (22 in 2001). Hall is just eight RBIs away from the BlueClaws single-season franchise record of 91 set in 2004 by Randy Ruiz.
Hall is the fifth BlueClaw to be recognized by the South Atlantic League this year, with JoJo Romero, Ranger Suárez, Sixto Sanchez, and Nick Fanti previously winning Pitcher of the Week. He is the first BlueClaws position player to win Player of the Week since Grenny Cumana in the week ending August 28, 2016.
The BlueClaws are home for seven games beginning Tuesday, August 15th. Tickets are available by calling 732-901-7000 option 2 or online at BlueClaws.com/Tickets.
