Henry Davis showed the skillset that made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 Draft, and fellow Pirate Quinn Priester was strong out of the gate for the Saguaros. The fifth-inning solo homer was the first this fall for baseball's No. 19 overall prospect and Priester, baseball's No. 44 prospect, limited Glendale to one unearned run in two innings before being removed for precautionary reasons. Surprise benefitted from a run-scoring hit by Luisangel Acuña, who drove in a run ... and then some. The No. 7 Rangers prospect raced around the bases for a Little League homer, which brought home three runs in all. But the biggest swing came from Davis, who hit 10 homers in 59 games across three levels in 2022, his first full pro season. The 23-year-old is swinging a hot bat this fall, batting .308 with a 1.074 OPS in nine games.

Boston's Nick Yorke and Baltimore's Heston Kjerstad continued their red-hot Fall League campaigns for the Scorpions. The duo connected for run-scoring singles and Yorke, the No. 4 Red Sox prospect, added a second RBI with a bases-loaded walk during the Scorpions’ four-run rally in the seventh. The 20-year-old improved his slash line to .340/.439/.472 with his first three-hit performance of the fall. Kjerstad matched York with three hits and his two RBIs lifted his total to 15 in 13 games, tops on the circuit. The ninth-ranked Orioles prospect is hitting .373 with a 1.064 OPS. Boston's Stephen Scott homered for Scottsdale and Toronto's Zach Britton improved his AFL-leading average to .483 with his first homer and a single for Salt River. More »

Right-hander Mike Vasil struck out five across four scoreless innings and four different Javelinas drove in runs to lead Peoria over the Solar Sox. Vasil, the Mets’ 11th-ranked prospect, picked up his second win of the Fall League by holding the Solar Sox to five baserunners, and three relievers completed the seven-inning shutout for Peoria. Tirso Ornelas and Jose Caballero connected for run-scoring doubles in the first and third, respectively, and Robert Perez Jr. and David Fry contributed sac flies in the sixth to account for the final score. It was the latest productive game for Caballero, the Seattle farmhand, who sports a 1.052 OPS in eight AFL games. More »
