Scottsdale 9, Glendale 7
The ball was flying today in the Arizona Fall League. The best example came in Scottsdale’s slugfest win over Glendale, where the teams combined for six home runs in the seven-inning contest. Edouard Julien led the way with a two-homer day in a losing effort. The No. 14 Twins prospect slugged a pair of two-run jacks in the first and a fifth RBI on a single to round out his day. Stephen Scott, Cesar Prieto and Cal Conley also went deep for the Scorpions. Prieto, the Orioles’ 18th-ranked prospect, clubbed a three-run shot in the second and Conley, the No. 12 Braves prospect, belted a long clout in the sixth. Brewers' sixth-ranked prospect Tyler Black also homered for Glendale to complement Julien, who is hitting .364 and slugging .636. The bat-first infielder has hit safely in eight of 10 games. More »

Another Rays prospect, Blake Hunt, (HR, 3B, 2 RBIs) enjoyed a strong night as well. Phoenix native and Arizona State alum Trevor Hauver enjoyed a productive night in a losing effort, reaching base in all four plate appearances and notching a first-inning RBI single.
