Gage Workman is playing like a man happy to be home. The Tigers prospect, who hails from Chandler, Ariz., hit a grand slam and added a solo jack to highlight a five-RBI night for the Rafters. Workman added a double for his first three-hit performance of the fall as he continues to rebound from a 2-for-28 start. Mike Antico, who followed Workman in the Salt River lineup, also clubbed a pair of homers and drove in four runs. It was the Cardinals prospect's first multihit game. Seven Rafters hurlers held the Scorpions to three hits, none until the seventh inning when Tink Hence yielded a single. Staying healthy has been an issue for Samad Taylor, but there is little doubt he possesses game-changing ability. The No. 25 Royals prospect hit his second homer of the fall, drove in four runs and swiped a pair of bases to lead the Saguaros. Taylor's big day pushed his RBI total to eight through 13 games. Ranges prospect Trevor Hauver also went deep, crushing a solo homer and plating two runs for Surprise. Noelvi Marte slugged his second homer for Glendale an estimated 461 feet. It was the second-ranked Reds prospect's first long ball since Oct. 4. Andy Pages led off the ninth with his fourth roundtripper and singled for his second consecutive multihit effort for the Desert Dogs. The No. 5 Dodgers prospect is batting .306/.407/.571 with five extra-base hits, 14 runs and eight RBIs in 13 games. More »
