Dollard Deals Again; Travs Win

Right-hander improves to 14-2 on the season with victory

North Little Rock, AR—Taylor Dollard stretched his unbeaten streak to 16 and the Arkansas Travelers bested the Tulsa Drillers, 7-2 on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. It was the 14th victory of the season for Dollard including a perfect 13-0 record in his last 16 outings. He worked six innings

North Little Rock, AR—Taylor Dollard stretched his unbeaten streak to 16 and the Arkansas Travelers bested the Tulsa Drillers, 7-2 on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. It was the 14th victory of the season for Dollard including a perfect 13-0 record in his last 16 outings. He worked six innings allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits with five strikeouts. He pitched with an early lead after the Travs posted a four run second inning.

Moments That Mattered

* Arkansas scored four times in the second on only one hit. Cade Marlowe drove in the first run on an RBI single. He would later score on a throwing error when stealing third. A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly scored the other two runs. The Travs paid off three consecutive walks after Marlowe’s hit.

* Tulsa threatened in the eighth loading the bases with none out in a five run game but Jake Haberer came to the rescue getting a pop out and two strikeouts to strand all three inherited runners.

News and Notes

* Dollard is the first Travs pitcher to win 14 games in a season since 2005 and the first in the Texas League since 2016. He has three scheduled starts remaining this season.

* Arkansas won the season series from Tulsa, 11 games to seven.
