The game was tied 1-1 after seven innings when the Dragons put together a scoring chance in the top of the eighth.
Nutof worked out of a jam in the eighth inning and Ghyzel pitched a perfect ninth, striking out the last two batters, for his 17th save of the year. Nutof, who threw three scoreless innings, earned the win to improve his record to 5-1.
Rodriguez started the game and worked five innings, allowing one run on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Beloit took a 1-0 lead in the fourth before the Dragons tied the game in the fifth.
The Dragons finished with 11 hits. Lopez was 3 for 3 to lead the attack. Collymore had two hits, a run batted in, and a run scored.
The Dragons improved to 14-16 in the second half. They began the day one game behind Fort Wayne and Lake County for the wildcard position in the Midwest League East Division Second Half playoff chase. Beloit fell to 19-9 in the second half.
