Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Fort Wayne TinCaps (affiliate of the San Diego Padres) in the first game of a three-game series. Season Series: Fort Wayne 4, Dayton 2. At Dayton: Fort Wayne 2, Dayton 1. 
Recent Performances: The Dragons went 3-3 on their Wisconsin road trip that ended Monday. They went 3-3 on the last home stand. Fort Wayne is 3-12 over their last 15 games.
Last Game: Monday: Dayton 3, Beloit 0. Austin Orewiler and Wendolyn Bautista combined on an 11-hit shutout as the Dragons took two-of-three at Beloit. The Dragons scored single runs in the second, third, and eighth innings for the win. Defensively, the Dragons turned four double plays to help escape trouble. Jose Garcia had a home run for the Dragons.
Playoff Chase: The Dragons must finish in the top two among eligible teams in the East Division in the Second Half (six teams competing; Bowling Green and Lansing ineligible). The Dragons currently lead the wildcard (#2 seed) race by one-half game over Lake County and Fort Wayne, one game behind South Bend, the second half number one seed. Four teams are separated by just one and one-half games in the wildcard race.
2018 Team Notes

• The Dragons 3.20 ERA in the month of July is considerably better than the MWL average for the full season (3.86), but in an indication that July has been a good month for pitchers throughout the league, the Dragons July ERA ranks seventh among the 16 MWL teams. 
• The Dragons have allowed three runs or less in 17 of their 31 second half games. Their second half ERA is 3.59 (5.31 in the first half). 

Transactions: Outfielder Malik Collymore has been promoted to Daytona. Outfielder Reshard Munroe has been promoted to Dayton from Billings.

2018 Individual Notes

• Packy Naughton over his last five starts: 32 IP, 25 H, 6 R, 5 BB, 23 SO, 1.69 ERA. Four of the six runs came in one inning (6th on July 21st).
• Hunter Greene over his last 10 starts: 49.1 IP, 36 H, 16 R, 15 ER, 12 BB, 59 SO, 2.74 ERA. Greene has made 17 starts. His ERA in his first seven starts was 10.06. Greene was selected as the Cincinnati Reds Minor League Co-Pitcher of the Month for June.
• Patrick McGuff in his two starts with the Dragons: 10 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 7 SO, 0.00 ERA.
• Lorenzo Cedrola over his last 14 games: 19 for 53, .358. Cedrola has stolen 11 bases since joining the Dragons on July 4. The 11 steals is tied for third most in any full-season league in Minor League Baseball during the period of July 4 to the present.
• Andy Sugilio over his last 11 games: 18 for 51, .353. 
• Mark Kolozsvary over his last seven games: 10 for 24, .417.
• Alejo Lopez over his last eight games: 9 for 24, .375.
