Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the West Michigan Whitecaps (affiliate of the Detroit Tigers) in the second game of a four-game series. 
Clash of the Titans: The Dragons and Whitecaps not only have the two best records in the Midwest League, but both clubs rank among the top three in victories in all of Minor League Baseball (120 teams currently playing). West Michigan has the best record in MiLB while the Dragons have the third best.
Standings: The Dragons are in second place, two games behind West Michigan in the East Division of the Midwest League. They lead third place South Bend by two and one-half games. The top two finishers in the East Division will qualify for post-season play at the conclusion of the 70-game first half. 
Extra! Extra! Four of the Dragons last five games have gone to extra innings. They won in 10 innings last Sunday, lost in 10 on Monday, lost in 16 in a suspended game that was played Wednesday-Thursday, and lost in 12 last night. They have played a total of 14 extra innings in those four games.
Individual Notes

• T.J. Friedl hit three home runs in the doubleheader Thursday and is batting .357 over his last 14 games to raise his average from .259 to .291. He is tied for third in the Midwest League in extra base hits with 24. Friedl has hit safely in seven straight games.
• Tyler Stephenson is batting .308 over his last 32 games to raise his average from .219 to .288. He is tied for third in the MWL in RBI with 30.
• Bruce Yari has hit safely in four straight games, going 7 for 15 (.467) with a home run.
• Scott Moss leads the Midwest League in wins (7) and strikeouts (68). Moss has won his last six starts.

Team Notes

• The Dragons are rank third in all of Minor League Baseball in wins with 31 (West Michigan with 33, Lehigh Valley (International League) with 32 (120 MiLB teams currently in their seasons).  
• Since losing their first two home games of the season, the Dragons are 18-3 at Fifth Third Field.
• The Dragons season high for most extra base hits in a game was five through the morning game on Thursday. They have hit six extra base hits in each of the last two games.      

• For the month of May, the Dragons are tied for second in the MWL in team pitching (2.87 ERA).
