Dragons to Recognize Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative as Community All-Stars Recipient on August 8

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Dayton Dragons will recognize Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative as a Community All-Stars recipient during a special inning break of the Dragons game on Thursday, August 8 against the Lake County Captains at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.

Founded in 2021, Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative empowers those seeking recovery from addiction and former foster youth. The organization provides opportunities for individuals to enhance their lives through transformational and vocational pathways. Emerge envisions futures filled with rekindled hope, restored lives, and lasting change in our communities and beyond.

Since opening their facility, more than 300 individuals have joined Emerge from 16 counties across Ohio. With a highly qualified team of 35, the grassroots organization built its team and best-practice programming from the ground up. The Emerge campus offers treatment options such as outpatient clinical services for men and women seeking substance abuse and mental health counseling, plus anger management sessions.

Emerge also provides educational options such as GED classes and certification courses. The organization additionally houses an Ohio Means Jobs Center and second-chance employer network. These opportunities provide real options for those in recovery looking to build financial independence while receiving the care they need.
