Tulsa, OK—The Arkansas Travelers lost a pitcher’s duel to the Tulsa Drillers, 2-1, in the series opener on Tuesday night. Both teams starting pitchers worked six innings and allowed just one run. Arkansas’ Levi Stoudt struck out five while Tulsa’s Gavin Stone punched out six. Each of the runs they allowed was in the sixth inning and neither pitcher factored in the decision.

Moments That Mattered

* Tulsa took the lead in the seventh when Devin Mann lined a double over the head of the third baseman to score Kody Hoese with the go-ahead run.

* Arkansas nearly tied it in the ninth but Cade Marlowe was thrown out at the plate by left fielder Ryan Ward on a groundball single by Kaden Polcovich.
