Decisive Plays: Gwinnett trailed 10-0 before ending the shutout in the eighth inning on back-to-back home runs from Joe Dunand (12) and Yolmer Sanchez (6). The three-run and solo clouts cut it to a 10-4 game. In the ninth, Daniel Robertson’s RBI single and Sanchez’s RBI fielder’s choice brought the Stripers to within 10-6, the final score.

Key Contributors: Dunand (1-for-4, homer, 3 RBIs) and Sanchez (1-for-5, homer, 2 RBIs) combined to drive in five of Gwinnett’s six runs. For St. Paul, Chris Williams (1-for-2, double, 3 RBIs) and Trevor Larnach (3-for-5, double, 2 RBIs) each had multi-RBI efforts, and both Anthony Prato and Elliot Soto hit solo homers off Jared Shuster (L, 2-1).

Noteworthy: Dunand’s team-leading 12th homer was his ninth since the start of June. Sanchez has homered four times in his last six games since June 22. Gwinnett pitchers have a 12.12 ERA over four games in St. Paul.
