MOOSIC, PA (February 15, 2018) - Fit Track, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders health and wellness school program, returns in 2018 for its fifth year. Fit Track is now presented by Cigna and the SWB Pinstripes Foundation and is available for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Fit Track's mission encourages kids to live healthy and active lifestyles while promoting three main healthy behaviors; physical activity, nutrition and sleep. The program is designed to be integrated into elementary and middle school physical education and health curriculums. Through participation in Fit Track, students are rewarded for their commitment to healthy behaviors with a FREE ticket to RailRiders home game and the invitation to participate in a pre-game parade around the field before select Fit Track home games.
Fit Track begins each spring with an optional kick-off assembly at participating schools, conducted by the RailRiders staff and their team mascot, CHAMP. Students who attend the school assemblies will also receive a special gift from the RailRiders.
Additionally, the Fit Track program allows schools the opportunity to conduct a fundraiser for their school using RailRiders tickets. As a new and added bonus this year, parents or guardians purchasing additional tickets to accompany their child's free Fit Track ticket will see $3.00 from every ticket purchased get donated back that child's respective school.
Space in Fit Track for local schools is still available.
