Nick Noonan's RBI single sparked a five-run 12th inning and helped the Colorado Springs Sky Sox secure an 8-4 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers in front of 3,596 at Werner Park Monday night.

Tied at three entering the 12th inning, the Sky Sox (58-34) found their offense, scoring five runs on six of their 15 total hits to pull away with their third straight win and 12th against the Storm Chasers in 2017.
With two on and one out, Noonan lined a single to right field, scoring Ivan De Jesus, who had led off the frame with a double. With two outs, Tyler Bortnick lined a shot to left field that was dropped by left fielder Corey Toups, allowing Nate Orf to score the eventual game-winning run.
Kyle Wren followed by grounding a two-run single up the middle to score Noonan and Bortnick, and Wren himself would come in to score when Jack Lopez's errant throw after a Mauricio Dubón single allowed the left fielder to easily score the fifth run of the frame.
The Colorado Springs offense had been silenced by Omaha starter Jake Junis through the first six innings, but the visitors broke the shutout bid and tied the game at one in the seventh inning off reliever Sam Selman. Tyler Heineman hit a sacrifice fly to left field, allowing Orf to score after leading off the frame with one of his two doubles.
The Storm Chasers (42-51) re-took the lead with a solo home run in the seventh inning, but the Sox responded with a run of their own in the eighth inning. With the bases loaded and two out, Orf drew a clutch walk, scoring Dubon. With three walks and two doubles, Orf led the offense by reaching base in five of his six plate appearances.
The Sky Sox took their first lead of the game in the ninth inning with some more clutch at-bats. With two on and two outs, Lewis Brinson lined a single just shy of the dive attempt of right fielder Ruben Sosa, scoring Bortnick and helping add to his 4-for-7 game.
Bubba Derby kept the Storm Chasers at bay, allowing one earned run and striking out three batters in 5.1 innings. Wei-Chung Wang, Tim Dillard, Tyler Cravy, David Goforth and Andrew Barbosa (4-1, 5.52) combined to allow three earned runs and strike out three Omaha batters in 5.2 relief innings.
The Sox and Storm Chasers square off in a Tuesday matinee at 11:05 a.m. MT. RHP Angel Ventura (4-1, 3.00) takes the mound in search of a second straight road win against Omaha RHP Yender Càramo (2-7, 5.38).
