The victory was the third walk-off of the Atlanta Braves affiliate this season, and first win at home since July 14.
The stage was set in the final frame with the two teams knotted up at two apiece. After
Florida (16-29, 45-66) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning with the help of RBI knocks from Delgado and CJ Alexander (2x4, 2B, RBI). The home team took the advantage into the eighth, before Fort Myers (28-20, 56-60) tallied two runs against Victor Cavelieri to square the score.
The combination of Waters, Delgado and Alexander at the top of the lineup went 8-for-14 on Saturday night, with a run and three RBI.
Florida goes for the series split in the finale of the four-game set from Osceola County Stadium on Sunday morning. It has yet to be determined who will start for the Fire Frogs, but they will face off against LHP
Sunday is the return of Brunch & Baseball at Osceola County Stadium. All ladies, 21 & older, who attend a Fire Frogs game on a Sunday will be treated to a free brunch at the ballpark!
