(June 28, 2017) - In a battle of pitching dominance on Wednesday night, it was the Florida Fire Frogs who came away with a 2-0 victory over the Jupiter Hammerheads at Roger Dean Stadium in 10 innings. Both teams combined for 32 strikeouts in game two of the three-game series, with Florida (3-3, 28-44) setting down 16 on the night.

Enderson Franco set a career-high with nine punchouts on the night, besting his previous best of eight. The right-hander struck out the side in the third and fifth innings, and had only one inning in which he did not record a strikeout (second).
The 24-year-old starter allowed just two hits and walked three on 84 pitches in the middle game, with 54 going for strikes.
Corbin Clouse continued his hot stretch out of the bullpen for the Fire Frogs, as the lefty struck out five over two scoreless frames. The native of Grand Ledge, Mich. has not allowed an earned run over his last 16 appearances, lowering his ERA from 15.19 to 2.86 over that span.
Chad Sobotka (1-0) tallied just one strikeout in his two innings of work, and Josh Graham (SV, 1) allowed a hit and struck out one for his first save of the season.
The Fire Frogs plated their runs in the 10th with two outs in the extra frame. Austin Riley (1x5, R) singled to short with two outs, and scored on Alex Jackson's (2x5, 2B, RBI) double to the gap in left, with Jackson taking third on the play. With Tyler Neslony (0x3, 2 BB) at the plate, Jackson scored on a wild pitch from Ryan Beckman (1-1) for the insurance run.
Ryan Beckman (1-1) took the loss for Jupiter (3-3, 36-38), allowing both runs in the 10th on two hits, a walk and a strikeout. James Buckelew (7), Ben Holmes (4) and José Quijada (4) struck out 15 through the first nine innings for the Hammerheads.
Florida will look to take the series in the finale of the three-game set at Roger Dean Stadium. LHP Oriel Caicedo (0-0, 4.50) takes the mound for the Fire Frogs, against RHP Ben Meyer (0-1, 1.29). First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
The Fire Frogs return to Osceola County Stadium on Tuesday, July 4 for game one of a three-game set against the Hammerheads. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game to witness an Independence Day Spectacular, featuring the largest fireworks display of the season.
The series opener is also "Fire Rum Tuesday" at the ballpark, where fans can enjoy $3 Fire Rum mixed drinks and $2 tostones. Every Monday through Wednesday game is "Service Industry Night" in Kissimmee, where members of the service industry can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
