Four Claws Combine to Blank Rocks, 2-0 on Saturday

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Four BlueClaws pitchers combined on a two hit shutout as the BlueClaws topped Wilmington 2-0 on Saturday night at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Jersey Shore snapped a three game losing streak with the win and can earn a split of the six game series with a win on Sunday.

The BlueClaws took the lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Griffin Burkholder. They doubled the lead in the second on an RBI single from TJayy Walton for a 2-0 lead.

Walton, leading off for the first time, had two hits and a walk in the win.

BlueClaws starter Brandon Beckel came out after 4.1 innings, having allowed just two hits and striking out five. Kevin Warunek followed and got the next five outs. Cam Hill took over in the seventh and threw two scoreless innings.

Titan Kennedy-Hayes threw a 1-2-3 ninth for his second save of the season.

The teams finish their season on Sunday, the final BlueClaws regular season home game, at 1:05 pm. RHP Tanner Gresham starts for Jersey Shore.
