Bowie, MD (September 16, 2026) – Major League Baseball announced rosters for the 2026 Arizona Fall League on Tuesday. Four members of the 2026 Chesapeake Baysox will represent the Orioles organization, as part of the Peoria Javelinas – outfielder Vance Honeycutt, utility man Brandon Butterworth, and right-handed pitchers Pat Reilly and Braxton Bragg.

Butterworth spent the majority of 2026 with Chesapeake. The infielder and outfielder featured at six different positions (center field, left field, right field, third base, shortstop, second base) in 52 games with the Baysox. At the plate, Butterworth hit .269 with ten home runs and 23 RBI, to go along with 12 stolen bases. He missed time on the injured list from May 12 through July 7 but finished hitting .294 with a .954 OPS in his final 27 Double-A games, before earning promotion to Triple-A Norfolk on August 14. 17 of Butterworth’s last 30 hits with the Baysox went for extra bases (eight doubles, one triple, six home runs).

Honeycutt had a stellar end to his season with the Baysox, after earing promotion to Chesapeake from High-A Frederick on August 18. Honeycutt hit .288 in 20 games with the Baysox, hitting five homers and seven doubles. He also stole 10 bases. His .997 OPS led the team during that stretch and was sixth-best among all Eastern League hitters (min. 80 plate appearances).

Reilly made eight starts with the Baysox in 2026 after recovering from Tommy John Surgery. His season debut with Chesapeake was on July 25 – 462 days after his previous start with the Baysox in April of 2025. He went 0-2 but posted a 3.63 ERA with Chesapeake. In 39 and two-third innings, he struck out 55 batters. Reilly pitched to a 2.08 ERA in his last six starts with the Baysox, striking out 41 in 30 and one-third innings. He matched a career-high with seven innings pitched and struck out eight in his penultimate start of the season on September 5 against Portland.

Bragg spent the entirety of the 2026 season on the Chesapeake injured list. This would be Bragg’s first game action since his last start with the Baysox on June 28, 2025. Bragg underwent successful Tommy John Surgery on July 30, 2025. Prior to his injury, Bragg posted a 2.32 ERA in nine appearances (eight starts) with Chesapeake, striking out 59 in 42 and two-thirds innings. His combined 1.68 ERA across all levels in 2025 was second-best in full-season Minor League Baseball, among pitchers with at least 59 innings pitched, prior to his injury.
