The Colorado Springs Sky Sox offense continued to roll, using three four-run innings to defeat the Fresno Grizzlies, 12-5, on a rainy Monday night in front of 1,733 at Security Service Field.

The Sky Sox (19-8) turned a 5-4 deficit into a three-run lead with a four-run inning off the Grizzlies bullpen. With the bases loaded and one out, Brett Phillips lined a two-run single just past first baseman Tyler White for his second and third RBI of the night. The hosts tacked on a couple insurance runs to expand the margin, courtesy of Yadiel Rivera and Nate Orf.
The hosts reached double-figure runs for the third time in four games with a four-run eighth inning. Phillips drove in his third run in two innings in between a pair of sacrifice flies to right field to expand the Sox lead. Ryan Cordell scored the final run on an errant throw from right fielder Jon Kemmer.
Fresno (13-19) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning after a 2:11 rain delay, but the Sky Sox responded to take the lead in the bottom of the third, batting around to take a 4-1 lead.
Andrew Susac led off the inning by crushing his third home run of the season to the left of the centerfield batter's eye. The Sky Sox backstop has now hit three home runs in a week and is the third Sox batter to hit a home run in consecutive nights this season.

Colorado Springs took the lead four batters later on a trio of RBI singles to right field. Garrett Cooper drove in Eric Sogard for his team-leading 30th RBI in 27 games. Phillips began his big night by plating Cordell, and Kirk Nieuwenhuis completed the trifecta to score Cooper and complete the four-run frame.
The Grizzlies fought back in the top of the sixth inning. After a pair of walks, Derek Fisher launched a three-run shot to tie the game and Max Stassi hit a solo shot to right field to temporarily re-take the lead.
Sky Sox starter Josh Hader took a no-decision Monday night, striking out a season-high eight batters through five innings of work. The eight punchouts is also a team-high, surpassing the seven strikeouts from Paolo Espino, Hiram Burgos and Brandon Woodruff. Tyler Cravy (3-0, 3.00) threw two relief innings for the win, while Stephen Kohlscheen (1, 4.97) closed out his first save with two scoreless innings.
The season series with the Fresno Grizzlies comes to a close Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. MT. RHP Hiram Burgos (1-2, 4.43) aims to bounce back and secure a sweep of the Astros' top affiliate against Casey Coleman (1-0, 7.20) in the second of three Math Days at Security Service Field.
