Frederick Wins 15-8 on Sunday, Sweeps Six From Claws

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Frederick had 15 runs on 15 hits and four home runs and topped the BlueClaws 15-8 on Sunday afternoon at ShoreTown Ballpark, completing a sweep of the six game series with the BlueClaws.

Jersey Shore was swept in a six game series for the first time since 2024 and for the first time in Lakewood since 2022. They fell to 14-27/40-66 on the season.

Frederick scored runs in each of the first two innings to take a quick 2-0 lead. Leandro Arias singled home a run in the first and Fernando Peguero doubled home a run in the second.

Randal Diaz hit a solo home run in the third to push the lead to 3-0. It was his 10th home run of the season, fifth with the Keys.

The BlueClaws came back with four runs in the fourth, highlighted by a three run home run from Tyler Pettorini.

The Keys, however, plated seven runs in the fifth inning among two hits and five walks. The two hits were two run two out doubles from Enddy Azocar and Randal Diaz.

Jersey Shore rallied again with four runs in the sixth. Daunte Stuart had an RBI single and Bryson Ware a two run single in the inning.

Frederick tacked on three more over the seventh and eight including a two run home run by Braylin Tavera, his 12th of the season.

All told, Frederick's eight doubles were the most allowed by the BlueClaws this year. Colin Tuft had three, tying the most by a BlueClaws opponent.

Azocar, Diaz, and Tuft all had three hits for Frederick in the win.

The BlueClaws are off on Monday and open a series Tuesday at Brooklyn.
