Sea Dogs to Host National Shrine Awareness Day on August 21st

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have teamed up with the Kora Shriners of Southern Maine to host National Shrine Awareness Day at Hadlock Field on Sunday, August 21st at 1:00 PM when the Portland Sea Dogs take on the Binghamton Mets.

Over 150 Shriners from across the state will be attending the August 21st game at Hadlock Field. The Kora Shriners will provide entertainment on the front plaza as fans are entering Hadlock Field from 11:30 to 12:30 PM. Slugger the Sea Dog will be joined by a Kora Clown to help entertain the crowd throughout the game. The Kora Legion of Honor, a group of military veterans, will present the colors. The Shriners will have a table set-up in the Hadlock Field concourse for fans interested in learning about the Shriners, their hospitals or the Masons.

Shriners are distinguished by an enjoyment of life and a commitment to philanthropy. They enjoy parades, trips, dances, dinners, sporting events and other social occasions. Kora Shriners are domiciled in Lewiston, Maine. Kora Shriners 2,800 members reside throughout its jurisdiction which extends from Kittery north to greater Waterville-Winslow.
