Cameron Expected to Continue Rehab with Sea Dogs Friday
Cameron made his first rehab appearance with the Sea Dogs on Thursday afternoon going 1-for-4 with a RBI double scoring Jacoby Ellsbury.
Cameron, 37, is hitting .233 (7-for-30) with three doubles and two runs scored in 11 games for Boston this season. He was placed on the disabled list on April 20th (retroactive to April 19) with a lower abdominal strain.
Cameron is a 13-year Major League veteran, who has spent time with the White Sox, Reds, Mariners, Mets, Padres, and Brewers. He is in his first season with the Red Sox after signing with the club as a free agent on December 16, 2009. Cameron has captured three gold glove awards and was a Major League All-Star in 2001 with Seattle. He has a .250 career average with 265 home runs in 1,829 Major League games.
