Fluor Field to Showcase Greenville County All-Stars

High school All-Star Game set for Wednesday after the Drive's game

Baseball fans from across the Upstate will be treated to a doubleheader at Fluor Field on Wednesday, May 26th, but the Drive won't be featured in both games. Following the Drive's regularly scheduled game versus the Charleston RiverDogs, the top high school players will battle it out in the Greenville County All-Star Game, presented by West End Baseball Academy and First Team Sports.

The Drive game is scheduled for 4 PM, with the Greenville County All-Star Game starting approximately one-half hour after its conclusion. The high school game will be a seven inning affair.

Drive General Manager, Mike deMaine, commented on the doubleheader, saying, "The Upstate, and Greenville County in particular, is a hotbed for top high school baseball talent. Wednesday gives fans the chance to see the best prospects that the Red Sox organization has to offer, as well as the top amateurs from the area."

Fans who already have, or will be purchasing tickets for Wednesday, will gain admittance to Fluor Field for both games. Tickets may be purchased by visiting the Fluor Field Box Office at 947 South Main Street in Downtown Greenville, charge-by-phone at (864) 240-4528, or online at www.GreenvilleDrive.com, with prices ranging from $5-$8.

The high schools making up the American All-Star Team will be Blue Ridge (OF/P Chase Corn, SS Luke Black, 1B/P Cole Robison, and C Chas Goodwin), Carolina (2B Blake Mangrum), Eastside (OF/2B Houston Green and Drake Thomason), Mauldin (C Joe Jackson and RHP Adam Chamberlain), Riverside (OF Jordan Scott, OF Alex Poag, 2B Wil Leathers, 1B Chase Warren, 3B Taylor Norris, RHP Austin Lawrence and RHP Matt Reeves), Southside Christian (OF Thadius Morgan and 3B Christian McClure), Travelers Rest (OF/P Aaron Gates), and Wade Hampton (SS/P Champ Rowland, RHP Kameron Williams and C Jacob Fowler).

For the National All-Star Team, the high schools represented will be Berea (P/OF Zach Reeves and IF Tyler Embree), Christ Church (OF Graham Paylor), Greenville (C Luke Feisal, OF Luke Stephens and INF/OF Patrick Langley), Greer (1B/P Daniel Palka), Hillcrest (RHP Shane Thurston, RHP Perry Case, P/OF Zach McAllister, OF Zach Morgan, and IF Trayce Rogers), JL Mann (C Ward Jones, LHP Robert Landers, OF David Donald and UT Braden Roth), Southside (INF Joe Vonne McDowell), and Woodmont (P Travis Cary and IF Duke Perez).
