AFL announces 2014 Top Prospects Team
The Arizona Fall League announces its 2014 Top Prospects Team. Selected by Fall League managers and coaches, the Top Prospects Team recognizes players who distinguished themselves throughout the league's six-week 2014 schedule against other top prospects from every organization in Major League Baseball. Voters were asked to consider Fall League performance and Major League projectability.
Outfielders
Jesse Winker, Surprise Saguaros (Cincinnati Reds): Winner of EyePromise Vizual EDGE PRO Award as the league batting champion (.338) … also ranked first in the league in OPS (.999) and second in on-base percentage (.440) and slugging percentage (.559) … MVP nominee … four doubles, one triple, three home runs and 18 RBIs in 19 games … Week One Player of the Week.
