Frisco wins San Antonio series

May 25, 2010
Frisco and San Antonio needed extra innings for the third straight game. The RoughRiders won the latest affair 9-6 in 12 innings. The two teams split the last two games which lasted 13 innings each. Frisco used six different pitchers out of the bullpen after Martin Perez was pulled in the fifth inning. Matt Harrison was one of those arms (on a rehab assignment from the Rangers). Harrison threw 18 pitches in a scoreless sixth inning and allowed one hit. Most of the damage to Perez came with two outs in the fifth. He allowed four runs on five hits and two walks. One of the hits was a two-run home run. He tied his season-low with two strikeouts. Warner Madrigal allowed the other two runs after he walked the bases full and allowed a two-run single in the 7th. Ben Snyder allowed one base runner in his 2.1 innings and fanned three. Adalberto Flores picked up the win for his two scoreless innings in which he allowed two base runners. Cody Eppley got his third save after a perfect 12th inning.

Offensively, the box score was packed with multi-hit games from Renny Osuna, Emerson Frostad, Joey Butler, and Taylor Teagarden. James Tomlin and Elio Sarmiento both walked twice and Matt Lawson scored three runs in his 1-5 night in which he tripled, walked and was hit by a pitch. Frostad finished 4-6 with a triple and 2 RBIs and Teagarden went 3-6 with a two-run homer.

Frisco ended its road trip with a 5-3 record. It has Tuesday off before it returns to Frisco to start a three-game series with Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday. The pitching matchup for Wednesday is Blake Beavan vs. Aaron Crow. First pitch is at 7:05.
