Mat Gamel and Josh Butler Continue Major League Rehab in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. - The Milwaukee Brewers have assigned two major leaguers to continue their rehab assignments in Huntsville with their Double-A affiliate prior to tonight's game against the Birmingham Barons.

INF Mat Gamel and RHP Josh Butler will be in uniform for the Stars tonight wearing numbers 23 and 26 respectively.

Gamel, who is currently on the 60-day disabled list with the Brewers, was last with the Stars in 2008. He hit .329 in 127 games at third base. In 2009 with Milwaukee, Gamel's average was .246 with 32 hits in 130 at-bats.

Butler, last with the Stars in 2009, is listed on the Brewers 15-day disabled list. In three games with Milwaukee in 2009, Butler was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. In his eight starts with the Stars, he was 2-1 with a 2.85 ERA.

These major league rehab assignments do not affect the Stars active roster which is currently set at 24, the Southern League limit.
