Sens welcome Grrrounder

Harrisburg, Pa. -- The Harrisburg Senators announced the name of the team's new mascot during Friday's game at Commerce Bank Park. The name was selected by a vote and the winner was Grrrounder.

More than 1,400 fans voted in the "name the mascot" event with Grrounder receiving more than 40 percent of the vote. The only name close was Southpaw, which received 32 percent.

Grrrounder is a dog-like character, who will be on hand at all Senators games. Grrrounder will join long-time Sens' mascot Rascal in making Commerce Bank Park a fun place to be. Both mascots will be available for public appearances.
