PSU Baseball's First Pitch Dinner is this Saturday

2008 Spikes coach, MLB vet Sid Bream to be keynote speaker

Sid Bream, a 2008 State College Spikes coach and 11-year Major League Baseball veteran, will serve as the keynote speaker at Penn State Baseball's First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, January 31 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. The evening will include a silent auction, introduction of the 2015 team and other festivities.

Doors will open for the general public at 6 p.m., while a cocktail reception for all former baseball players in attendance will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $70 per person for adults and $35 for children ages 3 to 12. All proceeds benefit Penn State baseball.

A member of the Pittsburgh Pirates' 1990 National League champions and the Atlanta Braves' 1991 and 1992 NL pennant winners, Bream was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1981 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Carlisle, PA native served as the hitting coach for the Spikes in 2008. Bream presently resides in Pittsburgh.
