Strieby collects four hits; Hens clip Wings, 5-4!

The Toledo Mud Hens started their eight game road trip with a 5-4 win on Friday night in Rochester. It was the first of eight meetings between the two clubs this year.

The Hens improved to 31-24 on the year with the win.

Toledo built a 5-0 lead before Rochester scored three runs in the 7th frame. Rochester plated a run in the ninth against Jay Sborz and stranded the tying run at third base.

Ryan Strieby had four hits in the contest to pace the Hens. Toledo collected 14 hits in the game.

Scott Sizemore extended his hitting streak to 12 games.

LHP Ryan Ketchner started and earned the win.

Catcher Jeff Kunkel made his Toledo debut and had two hits.

Toledo is now 3.5 games behind Columbus in the IL West.

Toledo will continue the series with the Red Wings on Saturday at 7:05 and Billy Buckner will make his Toledo debut on the hill.
