Bees Play Miracle League Baseball

June 5, 2010
Terry Evans, Gary Patchett, Nick Gorneault and Daniel Davidson participated in Miracle League Baseball Saturday morning with patients from Shriners Hospital for Children - Salt Lake City. Joining the players was Bumble, Bees General Manager Marc Amicone and other front office staff.

The player-led group of volunteers from the Bees assisted the 12-player team of children with batting, running the bases and playing the infield during the three-inning game.

Miracle League Baseball was created in Georgia in 1998 as a way to give children with disabilities the opportunity to dress in uniforms, play baseball and be part of a team. Every player bats once each inning, all players are safe on bases and every player scores a run before the inning is over. This marks the second season of the Miracle League in Utah.
