Van Meter Insurance Expands Partnership with the Hot Rods
Bowling Green, Ky. - The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) and Van Meter Insurance Group are proud to be expanding their partnership for the 2015 season, as Van Meter Insurance becomes the title sponsor of the brand new playground as well as the title sponsor of the Junior Mechanics Kid's Club. Even more exciting, it will be up to the fans to vote and help name this new playground space. The expanded partnership between the Hot Rods and Van Meter Insurance is yet another highlight of the momentum being built by the new ownership group in place.
"From the moment the Katzoff family and the Manhattan Capital group arrived, the kid's play area was somewhere we wanted to improve," said Hot Rods Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Adam Nuse. "Van Meter Insurance has been a great partner of ours, and we're thrilled to have them as our title sponsor of the new playground and Kid's Club in this expanded partnership. It's also a great opportunity for the people of South-Central Kentucky to put their stamp on the ballpark, and name what will be a great place for kids."
Fans are asked to choose between Axle's Adventureland, Double Play Park, Funnerville USA, Shortstop Park, and The Wheelhouse. Voting in the naming contest is simple, as fans can participate by just voting on the club's website, BGHotRods.com. The deadline for votes is February 20 at 5 p.m. CT, and the elected name will serve as the permanent playground's name for seasons to come.
The brand new playground, which is presented by Van Meter Insurance, will be located down the right-field line at Bowling Green Ballpark, and will occupy the space that was previously held by the inflatables. Kids who loved the bounce house and slide need not fret, as the inflatables will be moving to an area just beyond center field for the 2015 season. The creation of the permanent playground space provides a large and safe area for kids to play. With the inflatables moving, the ballpark now features two dedicated spots for kids to play.
"We are excited about the 2015 Hot Rods season and our ongoing partnership from naming the kids zone to funding the 'Junior Mechanic' Kids Club," said Chris Wiseman of Van Meter Insurance. "Van Meter puts a large emphasis on families and kids in this region; and this partnership fits with our culture. As a Van Meter Insurance family, we look forward to a great year and we are asking the community to vote and ultimately choose the name of the new park."
Van Meter Insurance is headquartered in Bowling Green, and was founded in 1977 by William "Chip" Van Meter. While the group started small, Van Meter has seen its revenue grow to over $30 million, and the group continues to invest in the community it lives and works in, as evident with the expanded relationship with the Hot Rods. With offices in Lexington, Owensboro, and Franklin, Tenn., Van Meter Insurance has a large presence not only in the South-Central Kentucky area, but in the Commonwealth as a whole.
Sign-ups are being accepted for the Van Meter Insurance Junior Mechanics Kid's Club, as well as the other clubs the Hot Rods offer. Ticket packages that are loaded with saves are also on-sale now, and they provide the best way for folks to enjoy the 2015 Bowling Green Hot Rods season.
