Crawdads Announce 2 Christian Concerts

Colton Dixon & 7eventh Time Down in "5 Pack of Faith" mini plan
February 13, 2015

Hickory, NC - The Hickory Crawdads are excited to announce that the club has added a second Christian Concert to their 2015 promotional schedule. Colton Dixon and 7eventh Time Down will each perform separate post-game concerts at L.P. Frans Stadium. Fans can reserve their tickets to both concerts using the 'Dads brand new "5 Pack of Faith" ticket mini plan, which includes a Reserved seat to both concerts as well as three other in-demand games.

For only $39 fans can purchase their seats to both of the Crawdads 2015 Christian Concerts, while also saving money on three other high-demand games, including two Fireworks Fridays, and the ZOOperstars appearance at L.P. Frans Stadium. The five games included in the mini plan are:

  • Friday, April 10th (Opening Weekend Fireworks Friday)
  • Saturday, May 9th (7eventh Time Down concert & Crawdads game)
  • Saturday, June 13th (ZOOperstars Appearance)
  • Friday, July 31st (Fireworks Friday/Star Wars Night)
  • Saturday, August 15th (Colton Dixon concert & Crawdads game)

The "5 Pack of Faith" mini plan or booking a group outing are the only ways fans can secure their seats for either Christian Concert before single-game tickets go on sale March 14th. Fans can save even more by buying three mini plans and receiving the fourth package for free. That's 20 total tickets for $117, a savings of $111 off regular retail price.

Colton Dixon's 2013 debut, A Messenger, set the record for biggest first-week sales by a new solo Christian act, becoming the No. 1 selling album of 2013 by a new Christian artist and the No. 9 best selling album of 2013 in the Christian genre overall. A Messenger also became the No. 22 best-selling album across all genres that same year, while Dixon was still reeling from his highly publicized seventh place finish on Season 11 of American Idol.

Awards and accolades followed. Colton received three Dove Award nominations, winning for Best Contemporary/Rock Album, and he was nominated for Male Artist of the Year at the 2014 KLOVE Fan Awards. Colton also racked up two No. 1 radio singles in 2013.

7eventh Time Down broke on to the scene in 2011 with their debut album Alive in You. The Kentucky foursome followed that up with their second studio album Just Say Jesus in 2013.

"Thereʼs a story told in each song," bass player Cliff Williams explains. "We write about living and what inspires us because Christians are real people. As believers, God will inspire you. Itʼs going to be the biggest part of who you are. That doesnʼt mean at times youʼre not going to write a song thatʼs reflective of who you used to be. Weʼre just southern dudes whoʼve got dirty pasts just like all the other people who have come to know God."

The Crawdads Christian Concert series has been a sold out event each of the past two years, with last season's game and Kutless concert drawing a crowd of 5,263 fans to the ballpark.
