Rays Day Sundaes Headline Hot Rods' 2015 Daily Promotions

Each Night Features Special Promotion All Season Long
February 16, 2015

Bowling Green, Ky. - With the Commonwealth digging out of a historical snowstorm, it seems like the perfect time to look ahead at warmer weather. The Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) have their focus solely set on making Bowling Green Ballpark even more of an entertainment destination, and on Tuesday, the club announced their daily promotions. While traditional days like Thirsty Thursday remain intact, Rays Day Sundaes headline these daily thrills and deals, with the Hot Rods sporting jerseys and caps very similar to their parent club in Tampa Bay.

"Our daily promotions provide yet another incentive to enjoy a game at Bowling Green Ballpark," said Hot Rods Director of Marketing and Community Relations Jennifer Johnson. "We've brought back fan favorites like Thirsty Thursday and Fireworks on Friday, but we're also very excited about Rays Day Sundaes. It's a chance for the community to feel a greater connection with the Tampa Bay Rays, who provide us outstanding teams each season."

Sundays were home to half-price ice cream sundaes last season, and that holds true in 2015. While enjoying sweet treats, fans will be able to take in a baseball game with the Hot Rods sporting jerseys that model their Major League Baseball parent club, the Tampa Bay Rays. The squad will also wear special Rays-themed caps, and fans will be able to get the autograph of their favorite Hot Rods player. Rays Day Sundaes are sponsored by Smucker's Uncrustables.

In the past, post-game base running was just a staple of Sundays, but beginning in 2015, youngsters will run the bases following every home game. This holds true all seven days of the week, including Pepsi Buck Monday, which returns to Bowling Green Ballpark to provide an even more affordable option with one dollar hot dogs and Pepsi products. Tuesday has become a premier night for giveaways, as T-Shirt Tuesday presented by All About You Urgent Clinic provides fans an opportunity to collect exclusive t-shirts on every Tuesday home game.

The deals don't stop in the early part of the week, as half-price tickets are back on Wednesdays. Thirsty Thursday's fueled by Mountain Dew means fans should come to Bowling Green Ballpark thirsty. A happy hour featuring one dollar beer will welcome fans to the park, and various drink specials will be offered throughout that night's contest. These specials will include the wildly popular $3 canned beer items.

Friday nights are for fireworks, and with an all new fireworks provider, the "Friday-night boom" in downtown Bowling Green will be even louder and brighter this year. Finally, Saturday night's at Bowling Green Ballpark will be a can't-miss event every time the Hot Rods are in town. The Hot Rods are bringing in an unprecedented amount of entertainment acts, celebrities, and other fun events to be featured on Signature Saturday presented by Against the Grain. The full details of these acts and events will be announced later this month with the release of the full promotional calendar.

Fans can help think warm thoughts by purchasing a Hot Rods ticket package. All are loaded with savings, and they provide the best way for folks to enjoy the 2015 season that features both baseball and entertainment.
