Jays add Dickerson as camp opens
The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that they have signed OF CHRIS DICKERSON to a minor league deal with an invitation to attend Major League spring training.
Dickerson, 32, split last season between the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians and the Cleveland Indians. He began the season with Indy and hit .309 (73-236) with 15 doubles, seven home runs, 30 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 65 games before being traded to Cleveland on July 7. He spent the rest of the season with the Tribe and hit .224 (22-98) with two home runs and 12 RBI in 41 games.
Dickerson is a veteran of 355 Major League games with 17 home runs and 66 RBI to go along with a .257 average.
Bisons Opening Day is 47 days away as the Buffalo begins the 2015 season on April 9 against the Rochester Red Wings at Coca-Cola Field.
